Ishikawadai Denim produced on a vintage spinning machine for a soft and hearty style-forward heritage collector’s item. This unsanforized denim is loomed from ring-spun cotton produced by the oldest operational spinning machine in Japan from Ishikawa Seisakusho Co., manufactured in 1953. It operates at exceptionally slow speeds with less tension on the cotton fibers. This production process yields an all-season, Japanese selvedge denim with intense character and a flexible hand that has been washed and moderately rope dyed on the warp for a medium blue that will fade and contrast to a natural weft with a personalized patina. This rare and intricately produced, low-tension shrink-to-fit denim will develop vintage-style fading while forming and draping nicely to the body of its wearer after the first wash or soak.
